PDX Vox is about bringing a cappella vocal music into people’s lives.
We believe that singing can bring a lot of good into people’s lives. It’s a way to have fun, relieve stress, feel good, and get better. It engages people in creative learning. Singing together can build a community of music lovers and improve the quality of life for all types of people. Get vocal with us!
Singing in Community
Our core program is our a cappella singing groups: non-audition, fun classes where singers of all levels can improve their singing, try new things, and work as a team to learn challenging and exciting vocal arrangements.
Offering Vocal Coaching Packages
We offer a song salon four times a year, where singers sign up for 3 hours of coaching and a group class / open mic experience. We are also available to coach individual singers and vocal groups as requested.
Bringing Music into Healthcare Settings
We provide musical performances and experiences to assisted living residences and hospitals, and we partner with music therapists to provide clinical services within healthcare settings.
See us in action!
We approach our performances as learning opportunities and celebrations of our progress. The shows we present at the end of the semester are low-key events for family and friends.
